Soon after his ordination, Fr. Sylvester Ogbogu, SMA, resumed his first appointment as a missionary priest in Zambia where he spent six (6) years, from October 2005 to August 2011 working in Ndola Diocese. He was greatly esteemed by his SMA confreres and the parishioners he served

From September 2011, he was sent to the UK as a seconded member of the SMA British Province where he was involved in Mission Appeals etc. for the Province, first from the SMA House in New Barnet and later, from the new SMA House in West London. His was always a warm and welcoming presence to any of us who visited London.

Fr. Sylvester returned to the bosom of his Creator on March 28, 2018, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Sylvester was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all friends and family.
